The Renaissance Man

Rushion McDonald founded “HBCU College Day” in 2015. He is a two-time Emmy and three NAACP Image Award-winning television, Executive Producer.  

 

His diverse background includes a career at IBM, headlining comedy clubs as Showtime Network’s “Funniest Comic in America,” an award-winning baker, motivational speaker, social media influencer, sitcom writer, Brand Ambassador for the Perfect Bake Pro Scale, and host of the popular “Money Making Conversations Master Class” podcast with 50K downloads per month. “Money Making Conversations Master Class” also streams on HBCUGO and syndicates on 71 radio stations and Sirius XM 141 and 142.

Rushion McDonald graduated from the University of Houston’s College of Natural Science and Mathematics with a Degree in Mathematics and a Minor in Sociology.   He is a lifetime member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, and his 3815 Media, Inc.’s company represents ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

In 2018-2019, he managed all of the marketing and branding campaigns for recruitment and retention, including social media posts, live events, call center, media buys, and website updates for the Air National Guard in all 50 states, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Washington DC.

 

Rushion has produced national campaigns for State Farm, Ford, JC Penney, General Mills, iHeart Radio, Radio One, NBC, BET, and ABC. His multi-media platform consists of radio, digital, podcast, social media, and a weekly newsletter.

 

He has written and produced for Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Mo’Nique, Gabrielle Union, Tia, and Tamara Mowry, Stephen A. Smith, Jamie Foxx, and he is the architect of Steve Harvey’s multi-media entertainment career from 2000 to 2016.

 

Rushion’s popular weekly show, “Money Making Conversations Master Class,” broadcasts live every Tuesday on WCLK 91.9 FM from 6-7 PM ET on the campus of Clark Atlanta University. It is the number #1 syndicated weekend show on Black radio. Rushion provides the consumer and business owners access to Celebrities, CEOs, Entrepreneurs, and Industry Decision Makers to learn the secrets of their success. The interviews deliver information about career planning, motivation, financial literacy, and how they lead a balanced life.  

 

In addition to his list of title, Rushion also serves as Executive Producer for ESPN+ “Stephen A’s World” and the “Jazz Music Awards.”
