Alcorn State University showcase automated laptop dispensing kiosks

The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) at Alcorn State University demonstrated how students can use its latest kiosk machines around campus.

CITS hosted an automated laptop dispensing kiosks live demo Wednesday, March 9, at noon at the J. D. Boyd Library. Students can use their Gold Cards to check out laptops for up to 12 weeks. The kiosks will allow students to borrow a computer for a quick class assignment any time of the day.

According to CITS, the automated laptop dispensing kiosks not only securely store, recharge, and wipe clean computing devices but make managing a self-contained automated checkout program or supplementing a manual program easy and empowering for all involved.

The kiosks are in the James L. Bolden Campus Union, Campus Safety Center, J. D. Boyd Library, S.A.F.E. Center, and the residence hall lobby on the Natchez Campus.
