Jackson State to host HBCU player showcase for XFL, which is owned by The Rock

Jackson State will host one of six XFL player showcases on July 16, the league announced Thursday.

The XFL is a professional football league started by WWE chairman Vince McMahon. The league, which played one season in 2001, is set to return in 2023.
